The Business Problem

Fresh Catering were looking for a technology partners that could help them efficiently manage their IT transformation from legacy systems to a cloud first strategy.  Fresh Catering needed their IT systems to support continued business growth, allowing for a greater level of flexibility, scalability and increased overall stability.

Fresh Catering needed the ability to deliver additional fixed and pop-up sites quickly, all with integrated standard POS systems.  Along with the ability to rapidly deploy new sites, Fresh Catering was looking for a way to enhance collaboration and communication between its head office and many sites

The Solution

Working closely with Fresh Catering's executive management, Novo IT designed and planned a solution that would deliver the flexibility and scalability that Fresh Catering were looking for, and ensured that the journey was aligned to Fresh Catering's business goals and objectives.

Novo IT worked on transforming Fresh Catering systems across to the Microsoft public-cloud services platform, which included both Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) components.

Novo IT developed a document management and communications platform, that has formed the cornerstone of Fresh Caterings collaboration between staff, allowing them to access information from all sites utilizing a range of devices.

Novo IT also rolled out a new standard operating desktop environment (SOE) across all sites, improving the end user experience with the latest desktop operating systems and business applications.


Novo IT and Fresh are continuing to work together to enable employees to move from site to site by leveraging cloud based solutions and standardized network infrastructure. This provides a simple and effective solution for users by minimizing set up requirements.

Fresh Catering now has an IT platform which allows flexibility by scaling to support requirements based on market opportunities with minimal infrastructure costs.  Staff have improved collaboration and communications with systems that support real-time document collaboration from which ever location they are working from, improving the time to market of new initiatives.

Novo IT have been able to deliver a reduction by 87% in the number of IT related incidents, and the ongoing support that Novo IT has provided has enabled employees to focus on their day to day tasks without interruption.
